  • Serve as resource for members of their respective GATA regions.

  • Organize all continuing education efforts sponsored by the GATA, including the Annual Meeting & Symposium, Mini-courses, etc.
 
 Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee (EDAC)Janet Lin Craft
  • Identify and address issues relevant to ethnically diverse members. Advocate sensitivity and understanding toward ethnic and cultural diversity throughout the profession and the association.

SEATA hosts several committees that do not have a corresponding committee in GATA. The following members are the GATA representatives on those SEATA committees. When a corresponding committee is present in both organizations, the GATA committee chair serves as the representative to the SEATA committee.

  • To aid athletic trainers (AT) and athletic training students (ATS) in the after math of a critical incident to utilize a peer-to-peer system to assist, monitor, and encourage these individuals to seek initial support through state or regional ATs Care teams.

  •  Advancement of the athletic training profession in business and employment opportunities, compensation, and brand recognition of athletic trainers as health care professionals.

  • To identify and address issues of concern to athletic trainers in the college and university setting.

  • To develop and plan the educational content of the Annual SEATA Clinical Symposium & Members Meeting.
AT Educators Conference Oversight Committee Amanda Jarriel
  • To develop, plan, and coordinate an educationally sound, fiscally responsible, successful biennial SEATA Athletic Training Educators' Conference.
LBGTQ+ Committee Lori Uretzky
  • Identify, explore, address and provide educational resources regarding emerging topics and concerns relevant to diverse sexualities, gender identities and gender expressions within the profession and health care topics affecting patients in the LGBTQ+ community.
